Description
One of only 9 Chevron B20's, this is the only F3 version of the B20 ever built and was the works car for Chris Skeaping who raced it in F3 events in England and Europe in 1972.Chris's best result was 3rd at Silverstone 14th May 1972. In 1975 it was sold by Chevron Cars to Alex Lowe and went on to win the Formula 4 and Monoposto championships in 1977 and 1980 respectively. Alex then sold the car back to Chevron. In 1994 Nick Crossley bought it and it was totally restored by Roger Andreason at Chevron Cars. Nick spared no expense on his cars so it was restored to the highest standard.Nick then used it in HSCC F3 races, winning the Classic F3 Championship in 1995. When the present owner bought it the car had been standing for a number of years so it was lightly restored and returned to its original 1972 livery when Chris Skeaping ran it for Chevron. It has been maintained by Martin Stretton Racing so is in excellent condition but will need new tyres, belts and extinguisher as it has not been used since August 2014. 5 races since the engine was rebuilt by Colin Holt and currently showing a total of 584 miles as verified by Martin Stretton's records. Raced at Monaco in 2010 so would be eligible to run there again. Eligible to run in not only HSCC Classic F3 but also Classic Racing Cars, Derek Bell and Historic F2.
