Very rare Hewland HD5 gearbox and spares. This gearbox was issued in 1964 and was standard equipment on many 1.5-liter F1 cars, Brabham BT3, BT7, BT11 and sport racers Brabham BT8,Lotus 23... as well as many other period cars. Internals are compatible with FT200 parts. Including: -NOS differential casing, factory machines, unused. -NOS differential casing side covers, factory machined, unused. -Used gear casing in very good, never damaged condition, with all shifting shafts, forks and shifting finger. -Gear cover with NOS Hewland serial plate (virgin) -All internals except differential and assorted differential casing bearings. -Many gear sets in excellent condition. The gear casing was used in a Brabham BT8 and was never damaged. All gears and dog rings reconditioned as new. Reverse gears are NOS. One bronze shifting fork needs repair. Diff casing and side ears are NOS, unused, and can be filled with FT200 parts (straight bolt-in). All FT200 shafts and gears are compatible, but pinion shaft needs minor machining right behind the pinion to fit (reduction in diameter on 1/8").
